1. "The Hawk, the Almighty Hawk.....it's the wind.'
or:

"It's a new dawn, it's a new day
And I'm feelin' real good."

I loved that guy.

19. Damn! I turned 15 later that summer! I remember them all!
on the western prairie/edge of the lake country, there was one hip radio DJ in Fargo/N.D. who played terrific shit that summer.
Steppenwolf
he even got the long version of 'Light My Fire" on the air.
this was when radio stations trusted djs to pick decent songs instead of chosing them by committee and focus groups, or payola.
the guy was only there for a few monthx before somebody else snapped him up and the staton went back to playing nothing but bland pop.
but for a summer plus a few months, we loved the guy...
"Don't you want somebody to love?
"Don'e you NEEEEED somebody to love?
"You better find somebody to laaaaooovve."

....listening to Soul Asylum's "somebody to Shove" years later I am convinced that Dave Pirner et al wrote the song as a tribute to "Somebody to Love."
listen to the chord progresson on both songs...

21. You, my friend, Get It. I bow to a peer. And here is one to contemplate.
Soon after this date, that you identified. And oh my God, you didn't have to be so nice:

If I should call you up invest a dime

And you say you belong to me

And ease my mind

Imagine how the world could be

So very fine

So happy together
