Time to debunk a Freeptard argument, which isn't hard. DUers, help

Freepers like to call us all "uneducated welfare cases." Please, state the degrees you've earned (are in the process of), where you go them and you're GPA from your degree. Yes, trade schools count because you learn how to do something.

I'll start:

Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Arizona (3.19 GPA, 3.5 in major, 3.65 in minor) Four time scholarship winner, captain of Arizona's champion 2004 and 2005 College Bowl team.

Currently a Graduate Student at Northern Arizona University (Master's of Educational Leadership)
To you Freepers, for a Master's Degree, a C is an "F." Two "B"s in my degree and I'm out! I have a 4.0 GPA.

Preparing for my Post-Graduate portfolio for a Doctorate in Political Science from NAU.

Earned a Class A CDL to drive a big rig.

How about the rest of you?

ON EDIT: I am not saying a college education is the be all and end all of a everything. Something said on a local Clear Channel wacko's show this morning pissed me off. Here's the quote:

"I'm tired of liberals always wanting an entitlement when they are too stupid and lazy to educate themselves and get off welfare." The host agreed and when into his own diatribe about "shiftless, uneducated, lazy liberal welfare cases sponging off his hard earned tax money."

So, those who didn't go to college, please don't take offense.

2. Bachelor's of Journalism...
at the school I went to, the University of Missouri, the School of Journalism was entirely separate from the College of Arts and Sciences, so it's not a BA or BS in Journalism, it's a BJ (yeah, yeah. very funny).
Fun fact: The University of Missouri's School of Journalism is the oldest in the world (and, IMHO, the best).

I also got minors in poli. sci. and sociology.

GPA was around 3.0, but that could be because of, um, a rather active social life in college.

In any case, why do you say freepers think we're "uneducated"? Aren't we supposed to be snobby, over-educated elitists?

10. They switch.
We're either shiftless welfare cases trying to sponge of the hard work of "real Americans" or we're "over educated liberal snobs trying to control the lives of real Americans."

If being a "real American" means being a Freeptard, I must really hate America and be a faux-American then!

3. As I posted the other day ...
The reichbot hears that liberals want to help unemployed people get good jobs and thinks that liberals must be unemployed.
The reichbot hears that liberals want to help people of color get equal rights and thinks that liberals must be people of color.
The reichbot hears that liberals want to protect a woman's right to choose and thinks that liberals must be women getting abortions.
The reichbot hears that liberals want to ensure that elderly are guaranteed medical care and thinks that liberals must be old, sick people.

You see, a reichbot can't think in terms of supporting rights for others ... and therefore thinks that liberals only advocate support for themselves.

4. Catch-22
As we're either "uneducated welfare cases" or "ivory-tower academics with no experience in the REAL world". They just move you to a new pidgeonhole.

And who cares what they think?

5. I'm a college graduate too, in the Computer Science Graphics area
I held a 3.29 with almost no effort.

Although Ironically I live and work as a glassblower.

My 'IQ' is between 155 and 160 for those kinds of tests, I'm hardly moronic or uneducated.

8. Not sure they hurl the "uneducated welfare cases" at DUers . . .
More like "overeducated slackers."

BFWIW, I have a BA in Speech & Theatre from Colorado State University (3.2 GPA -- from memory) and an MFA in Directing (3.5 or thereabouts) from the University of Washington.

And despite the fact that these are theatre degrees, I've only been unemployed 5 months out of the last 25 years.

9. Ph.D. psychology, UC Berkeley, 1988
But I thought we were all elitists who coddle the under classes, arriving in our limos for white wine and brie receptions only to leave again when the wine's gone.

11. I never went to college, but I did graduate from the school of hard knocks
So I am not uneducated. I have worked all my life and have a fairly good, easy job (at least to me) and a decent salary with full benefits.

is from UC Berkeley. I graduated with honors.

I have a MA from St. Mary's College. Again, with honors.

And for what it's worth, I have never been on welfare.

14. Hmm
I don't think we need to prove ourselves to freeptards or whatever but I think it's interesting to see what other people studied. Btw, I don't believe a college degree necessarily makes one more educated or intelligent.

Regardless, I'll play along!

Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Texas A&M University.

16. I have a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University
Double major Sociology and Anthropology
Double Minor in Philosophy and Humanities

Graduated with a 3.6

Then I spent 2 years as an apprentice at an Organic farm (vegetable & dairy). One summer I pretty much ran the garden/market.

I've taken a few classes at a local community college to update my computer skills and to exercise my brain. All 'A's, for what it's worth.

It is likely that I will go back for a Masters in Nonprofit Management at some point, but not certain. I took my GREs a few years ago and did very well.

I have been financially self-sufficient since graduating college 10 years ago. I now own a house (or should I say, I own a mortgage) with mistermonkey, I have a stable job that I love, decent benefits, and a little fuel-efficient car.

So much for 'welfare' :)

Just kidding.

As for me...

BS in Information Technology. 3.8 GPA

Associates in Paramedic Technology. (Worked as a medic for four years and got tired of it in case you were wondering)

Planning on starting a masters program in Information Management this fall.

BS with high honors, University of Illinois
MEd with highest honors, University of Illinois
I have never been on welfare, and have worked since I was first in college.

My brother has worked since he was 9 years old, served 20 years in the Army, won a Silver Star in Viet Nam, and has a BS degree as well (don't know if he graduated with honors, but I wouldn't be surprised). He is a yellow dog Democrat, as is his wife, who also works and also has a BS. Their children were class validictorians; their son is working now, and their daughter is in college. Both kids are Democrats, too.

My husband is an ASE Certified Master Technician for automobiles and large trucks. Although he's never gotten a college degree, his IQ is higher than mine-its in the 140s. I dare any freeper to call us elitist, especially my husband-they wouldn't call him that if they had mechanical problems with their vehicle and were broken down by the side of the road, that's for sure!

21. Problem with this logic (of the freepturd, if you can call it logic)
a lot of freepturds/dittoheads/repukes are proud of the fact that they DID NOT attend college . . . they're "regular, working-class joes" (well, when their company hasn't moved out of the country and left them unemployed . . .)
