1. Yeah, right - the Subway ad saying 'France and Chicken...'

'... - somehow they go together!' REALLY makes me think of buying the product, and, if I were French, would REALLY make me feel proud. That corporate America joins in the bashing is doubly pathetic and childish-as with all the French-bashing that has been going on.

Never liked Jay Leno after his pro-Bush jokes, and his ignorance-based anti-France 'humor' doesn't change my mind. Jerks, all of them.

Many Americans conveniently forget the help the French gave America in 1776 and 1812. They're still helping us in Afghanistan as part of NATO.

Some months it's gays, some months it's A-rabs, some months it's the French.

But there'll always be a significant chunk of the American population that needs to dump on some group of people, and there'll always be a socially acceptable group of people to dump on.
