Bare Naked Truth about Religious Right
A new group at yahoo groups to expose the religious right.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BareNakedTruth/

Description

In America’s fallible pursuit to find its Imperial feet across the oil-laden countries of the world, the rhetoric of the Religious Right says the United States is a “Christian Nation.” Theirs is a world of lies and deceit with an orgy of biblical idolatry and historical fabrications toward the quest for an apocalyptic utopia. These so-called guardians of “truth” demand of us, the citizenry, the moral absolutism they are unable to follow themselves. Nevertheless, these charlatans repetitively claim to be the high-watermark of moral character in government, presumptuously waiting for a vacancy in the Trinity. To the casual observer, such malfunctions are plainly sad. The real agenda of the Religious Right however, is far more sinister, by attempting to cloak their lust of death, disease and destruction, behind a mask of virtue. In truth, the Religious Right is neither. They are Opportunists, Profiteers and Pirates, who use religion like a prostitute uses a streetlamp--as something to lean against, instead of illumination

1. Which is why the Constitution is secondary
to the Bible, or at best in their view, inspired by an angry god in order to enforce Dominion.

Which in turn, is why Creationism as literal truth is so important to them.

I know this is basic theocratic nonsense, but somehow the US and the Middle East have evaded the Enlightenment.

This sickness must kill it's host.

2. They are no better than the Taliban...
& have more in common with them than they will ever admit. They have a totalitarian, narrow, prejudice, anti-progress, & divisive view of the world. They are your enemy. If you think that something like the Taliban or Nazis could not happen in America, think again. RR want to use the government to suppress your rights & to determine what you see, read, & hear. They are 'wackos' to be manipulated by their corrupt & lying leaders who are 'professional christians'. Logic & facts are not part of their world & worst of all they are doing things in Jesus' name that he would be against. They are your enemy.

3. I so agree
"they are doing things in Jesus name that he would be against" Pat Robertson is passing judgement on some for their actions, I'd hate to be in their shoes when they face God for using his name for their gain.
