Esmay: hang Keller & Sulz for only waiting 1 year to expose Snoopgate
Dean Esmay (a blogger Instapundit quotes a lot), has literally called for the execution by hanging of the whistleblowers and journalists who exposed Snoopgate:

http://digbysblog.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_digbysblog_archive.html#113656872748896707

Still, Esmay (and the rest of the right wing) have yet to respond to Atrios's simple question:

No one has yet managed to explain how revealing that the administration illegally spies on American citizens without obtaining warrants, instead of legally spying on people after obtaining such warrants, damages national security.

Anyone?

1. Actually, illegal spying damages national
security MORE than legal spying because when perps are arrested for crimes uncovered with illegal spying, the info discoved through the illegal spying is inadmissable in court and can lead to the case being thrown out.

2. According to this Administration ...
... and its supporters, we've obviously been using an ass-backwards approach to law enforcement for too long.

It's time to release every prisoner now serving time, and launch an investigation into WHO IT WAS that 'leaked' information about their criminal activities to the police.
