Cheney Hobbled
Foot problem forces Cheney to use a cane
WASHINGTON (AP) — A foot ailment forced Vice President Dick Cheney to use a cane on Friday.

"I'm a little hobbled up today." said Cheney.

". . . forces have nearly destroyed our nation in the past. They plague us still. They fuel the fanaticism of terror. And they torment the lives of millions in fractured nations all around the world."

These obsessions cripple both those who hate and, of course, those who are hated . . ."

20. Could that be Lea Anne McBride?
'Heartbeat Away from Scott McClellan': After years in the political trenches and then as the government voice for disaster relief, one of the best-liked of Washington press operatives has just been named press secretary to Vice President Cheney. At the National Republican Congressional Committee, Lea Anne McBride was the No. 2 person in the press shop and in June 2001 was sent out to quarterback the OOP's effort in the special-election triumph of Rep. Randy Forbes in Virginia's 4th District (Tidewater). The victory made Forbes (lifetime ACU rating: 98%) the Republican House member with the highest percentage of AfricanAmerican constituents in the nation. The following year, McBride went on be the spokeswoman for the Federal Emergency Management Administration. In now assuming the second-highest press job in government, Georgia native McBride becomes, in one Washington wag's words, "a heartbeat away from {White House Press secretary} Scott McClellan."

7. That's interesting. About 3 months ago, Cheney
had surgery on his knee. He was hobbling around with a cane then, too. This man has been on death's door so many times, it's amazing. And somehow, he manages to stagger back and kill some more people.

It's time for the Old Boy to go.

I notice his smile isn't as big as it usually is, either.

10. Why hasn't Pat Roberts said the Lord is avenging
Cheney from something or another by hobbling his foot? Yesterday he said that God was punishing Sharon, it's time he looks at Cheney's health problems.

16. You know, getting old and not being in good physical health
isn't something I rejoice on for anyone. But if his infirmaties call to his attention the many people who need additional help paying for their health care, or don't have health care at all, it might be a good thing.

22. His is an existence marked by obsessive greed and an insensitivity
to the public who feather his bed that rivals the aristocrats of historical France. He has no function in his activity other than the further rape and pillage of our treasury and the weakening of our rights to redress and hold his level of political operator accountable.

He should suffer whatever abuse and hardship his decrepit carcass has exacted from hapless Americans.
