$7, 2 hours, protesting in Chicago. Priceless
I spent a little over $7 today ($5 for gas and $2 for the meter), 2 hours total, and had a better time protesting in Chicago than any movie or sporting event I have attended. Bar none.

The crowd wasn't as large as I would have liked to have seen. But we were noisy and visible on the street across from the Hilton. I was standing next to a guy carrying a sign saying "Honk for impeachment" and we had a LOT of positive feedback right in front of us. A lot of CTA and cab drivers honked too.

Most of the business people walking out of the hotel had to pass right in front of us - especially those looking for taxis. Many people were hollering "Shame!" and "Bush is a war criminal!". One guy kept asking them how much they took in bribes today or how much they paid in bribes today. He was hilarious and made it hard to be serious and impassioned as we were all giggling around him.

See you all downtown on January 31st?

3. He actually waved and smiled at us as he passed
From his limo of course. You caught just a fleeting glimpse of him as he drove (fast!) through Grant Park to the waiting helicopters.

I thought to myself as he drove past, "what a stupid shit. Does he think we're there in support of him!??"
