6. Take a moment
and picture them being tortured, focus on what they are responsible for. Pissing on the constitution, The loss of life in Iraq, and in New Orleans. Get PISSED and look at them like they SCUM that they are.

8. I'm in the asking for money position for a group I work with
And there are more republicans in my area, so I have to deal with them. So far, they are pleasant and efficient. I have trouble making this a non-partisan venture.

Not too long ago I found out someone my husband has been doing business with for years is a staunch Republican. I have not looked at him the same since, and drop out of conversations as quickly as possible. Strange behavior on my part, as he himself has done nothing to alter my feeling toward him. My favorite phrase when dealing with him.. is love the sinner hate the sin....

12. you have my sympathy
i had to go to the main offices of the republican national convention last year for my job. it was awful. lots of , humourless, energetic, brainwashed, college students-all of them surprisingly attractive-making signs and running errands. lots of "too smart to talk to you" bosses, who would ask me questions only to have them answered by other guys in suits before i could respond. it was the most pompous, self satisfied group of people i ever met, also the most paranoid. they stood in a group brainstorming ways that "operatives" might sabotage their communication systems. none of what they were saying made sense, it was paranoid fantasy. they refused to listen to my answers to their questions, instead they seemed to prefer to think that "operatives" were after them. all i could think was that they were so afraid of "operatives" and "saboteurs" because that was how they did things, not because of what other people were up to.

13. What I do...
Enjoy manipulating them out of their money. They screw people out of their money; you're just leveling the playing field.

I'm in the same boat. I have to deal with a lot of staunch conservative Republicans and religious right types in my job (sales). Just play along with their idiocy (if they get into politics), hold your nose if you have to, but try to remember that every dollar you take from them goes into the pocket of a person who will do good with it.

Pretend it is a game...if you like James Bond movies, pretend like you're a spy and have some fun with them. Odds are they're too dumb to pick up on you.
