that the Republican color of choice is Red?
Funny, but that used to be a BAD color, representing the worst in government abuse and unbridled power. You know, those old Commies we keep hearing about.

For a long time I always associated the colors the opposite way...blue for Reps and Red for Dems. I think now that "blue state" and "red state" are permanent fixtures in the American lexicon, the color assignments are hear to stay.

When covering elections, they started red and blue states. Some had dems as red, and some had them at blue. It may have been cnn that changed everything by setting the standard of dems as blue, I can't remember.
