Outsourcing our intelligence work. . . .
I saw this VERY disturbing WaPo article highlighted at truthout.org.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/19/AR2006031900978.html

It is about hiring contractors to do our intelligence work. Like with contracted work everywhere, we lose control, results are suspect, there is no way to hold anyone responsible.. and it costs about 1000 times as much as enriches some well connected company who probably kicked back for the privilege of getting the job.

Nice, huh.. we now have mercenaries doing the most sensitive jobs imaginable....

and AIPAC.

The US Gobbamint is gonna get our asses in trouble by hiring 2 groups of crooks to do the same job. You know it. The GAO is NEVER gonna let that get by them. Pat Roberts is NEVER gonna sit still for that kind of doubled up dipping.

2. I'm wondering how much "top-secret clearance"
credentialing is slopping all over the place..
and does it have ANY significance anymore..

4. It must have been crap for more than 30 years...
they gave ME a top secret clearance and crypto access in 1971 and even back then
I was an anti-establishment/antiwar democrat. I kept a moustache all the way through the Army, from induction to my outprocessing.

3. Most likely they will love it in the Red States. Bush knows best.
The living dead people will be sure to go along with it, if Bush wants it.
