2. think the OP is making explicit an subtle message of
the major religious right's fightin' efforts to insert ID in schools... implied is that folks aren't "getting it" (ala their veiled creationism) so we (being the religious right) must make sure it is taught in school...

4. Also their mantra is that schools are "failing"
and not teaching proper morals, history blah blah blah so kids have to learn this stuff in Bible academies. I just turned their mantra upside down.

5. What is the Republican policy?
If the Republican party supports the teaching of Intelligent Design in schools, then it must specify exactly is to be taught and exactly what it is that "Intelligent Design" means.

They have to either announce that it is their policy that Intelligent Design is to be taught in schools or announce that they have no such policy and that the Republican party will not allow its resources to be used to push for the teaching of Intelligent Design in schools.

6. They try to fudge the issue
and bring it up in regions where they think it might be appealing, i.e., saying whatever they think people want to hear in order to get elected.

"What's the easiest way to make it look as though we understand you and believe what you're saying?"
