Rep Slaughter on Majority Report
Edited on Fri Jan-06-06 07:59 PM by FreedomAngel82
I'm a little behind on the feed so I'm not sure if she's still on. She's talking about all of the law breaking. She's saying that the republicans (Sam says the lobbyist's correcting that) write the laws and the democrats are shut out of the rooms, bills come up hot off the machine and nobody has a chance to read the laws. If you missed it you can hear the archive later when posted at http://www.airamericaplace.com They're not working this month for Tom DeLay and Slaughter also said that the ethics committe hadn't been on the job in a long time. There's a group for each Congress person in the House and there are 34,000 registered. When Clinton left there were 95,000.
It's a good interview so try to watch it. :)
