Just got back from Munich and my question is: |
|

1. Most hatred is borne out of ignorance |
|
And being/staying ignorant is easier than reaching out, learning and growing.

5. Most fear is irrational and is a defect in how the |

individual relates to the world. But rather than looking inward and seeing the defect in one's own self, the fear is transformed into a perception that is the externality is the threat. The interesting part of all this is that the the fear typically manifests itself into a reality. Sort of a self-fulling prophecy. The answer? Orienting our children towards tolerance and understanding, in other words, being liberals.

10. Well the thing is how to you impose this on others? Can you even do that? |
|
How do you encourage those who are tolerant and accepting into getting others to join us? It is not just our teaching children to be tolerant and understanding, we have to get others to do the same.

Was it because you visited Dachau while you were there? That place still creeps me out years after seeing it. :scared:

11. Certainly a disturbing film |
|
It was very much like the events I had read in a book I read a while back, One Day in September.
What's interesting is how it states that one of the widows of the atheletes killed was very disturbed by the revenge plot after she found out. She (and I believe some of teh others) would have favored those responsible to have been caught and brought back for trials.
