Grab your camera To Protect the Integrity of the Vote
Join "Candid America" project
by Black Box Voting

http://www.opednews.com

Help release these actions into the wild: Please distribute this one
far and wide:

ELECTION 2006: Now is the time to start. Join the Black Box Voting
"Candid America" project. Grab your video camera and catch vendors
and public officials in the act of being themselves -- the good, the
bad and the shameless.

It's a Black Box initiative, but we're setting this one free. It is crucial for
all
citizens to re-learn how to act independently of any organization. This is the
best way for true citizen oversight to become a national habit.

There can be NOTHING MORE DAUNTING to any corrupt public official than an
autonomous ordinary citizen with all-American ingenuity. Take courage. The
truth is you do not need any group, coalition, master plan or agenda. You can
do this thing and Black Box Voting will be there with encouragement and
guidance if ever you should need it.

2. They are trying to make that illegal here in MO, I think
This was on the banning of cell phones to photograph votes.

4. Not with Photoshop. Unless you can prove it's unaltered.
You'd have to have the original untouched photo. Otherwise, I would trust what someone shows me even less than what comes out of the back of a Diebold.

5. personally, if someone points a video camera at me at a polling place
I'm going to shove that camera so far up their ass the only thing they'll get pictures of are their tonsils.

6. Alternate camera idea for verified voting
In 2006, I plan on taking a digital camera and disposable camera with me into the voting booth. Once I've made all my selections, I am going to photograph them so that I will have a "receipt".

Couldn't we start a campaign to provide disposable cameras to people that need them - I'm thinking lower income populations - and have everyone photograph their vote? Then we let it be known, far and wide, that this is happening and perhaps get some media coverage in addition to actually having a record of the vote.

Another idea I heard someone suggest on AAR was that people wear a color to signify their party choice. Then, if we have photographs of polling places, we have a permanent record of an "exit poll" so to speak.

7. Is it legal for us to do our own exit polls, maybe on camera? Could the
DNC get behind it? Could an independent organization with cred get behind exit polls. Could we raise money to hire several prominent exit polling groups to conduct exit polling. There must be some way to have a citizen led grassroots effort to override the theft of another election. Agreed, Bev Harris is certainly not the person to trust to do it.

9. this was done in 2004, btw
michael moore and his army of video cameras was never heard from afaik. there was another organization that did this, and i did photograph the poll tapes at my polling place. again, afaik, nothing was ever done with this info, either.
