11. For as long as I have been at DU
Consensus views on DU have proved correct about 95% of the time. Freeptards are still fighting the Clinton Bogeyman, civil war and reality. Stupid mofos. By the way it is so fun to cuss and swear on this site. In Freepland my post are censored.

7. I just shutter who they'd put him in his place
Nothing would change as long as the GOP is in the majority.

5. Keep smiling, mopaul.
It's going to be very interesting to see what they do to Daffy Lame Duck to protect their
power.

6. Hey, you won't get flamed from me
Think about it, 2006 election looming, the polls are in the toilet, Bush has no credibility
at all. Zero, zip, nada, everyone knows that the "intelligence was fixed around the policy." Conyers has issued a report confirming the DSM material. Iraq is the scene
of unbelievable carnage. It is only a matter of time before we get the bums rush there.
Name 1 shining achievement of this administration since 2000.

15. The meaning might have been lost if

only a flat pile of fur was seen behind the retreating elephants. ;-) Anyway, the way MoPaul drew it, the GOP elephants have clearly avoided him and run away from him, which I'd say is an accurate portrayal of what's going down now.

9. If things get any worse, they might ask them to resign. But,
Bush and Cheney would not do so. I'm not sure that they will step down in 2008.

10. why SHOULD they step down in 08? no one tells them what to do
not even we, who hired them and pay them to do our bidding.

13. They certainly believe that they have the power to refuse to
step down. After all, Bush has repeatedly asserted his right to overrule any law because we are at war. He could simply claim that it wouldn't be safe to change administrations during wartime. Notice how they have withheld the Abu Grebe photos. It would take an attack by a foreign government to get the Pentagon to release the photos. The Bush administration doesn't give a damn about any Democratic entities, i.e. Congress, the Constitution, the people or the Supreme Court. They are going to do whatever in the hell that want to. I really have no idea how they can be dislodged from office.

12. Sure - they could ask...
but I think that the tacit admission of guilt or failure (on Cheney's part) is impossible. He's going to tough it and bluff it out. Besides, today's Republican party is so bereft of sense or ethics that there aren't enough of them to get it done. But grin on, mopaul - I did for a few seconds, there.

;)

14. I've been smiling alot these days myself
It's kind of a dangerous time, there are so many tripwires out there and more being layed everyday these elephants may try to stampede over them and take us all out in the process.
It's a dangerous game, but, if we prevail it's going to be sweet, sweet, sweet.
