45. "cry babies" is what we should say whenever they complain about legit
criticism or humor.

Not even that they are pompous bullies because that implies they have some power.

"cry baby" sounds more impotent.

Why would they even bother watching? According to them, there is not a conservative within the city limits and certainly not "in the business". there hasn't been a movie that they should care about winning one since "the Passion", so what do they care for?

If there wasn't so much material to draw on, there would be no jokes. Seriously, there could be a lifetime marathon with the material already provided by Junior.

Bottom line: If Jon Stewart uses every joke at his disposal, this will be the Oscar show that never ends. Aw, poor wingnuts.

43. I'm beginning to wonder about Letterman's obsession with Bill Clinton
It seems to me the writers of his show could come up with something new once in a while;
Last night, he even had Stephanie to ask the question with reference to Current Events, and no surprise here, it was about Bill Clinton's pants. I get so bored with those old jokes; but I adore Paul Shaffer and his orchestra, so that's my reason for listening to the show.

60. First I quit watching Leno because of his obsession

(or more accurately, his writers' obsession) with Clinton jokes. Letterman is more balanced, tells more Bush jokes, but I've quit watching him, too, because he still tells Clinton jokes.

Telling jokes about the current president, Democrat or Republican, is standard American tradition. Telling jokes about a president six years out of office is indicative of a partisan agenda, IMO.

Could I form a Cult for Stephen? Would you join? Manson had "Helter Skelter." I suggest, for Stephen's cult, "You'll Never Find, Another Love Like Mine. . ." Stephen and Lou Rawls. What a winning combo. Can I have your commitment? Can I have your love? Can I have your money? As Stephen would say, it's for the children.

Only wish it was on five nights a week instead of four. That's a great photo of Steve Colbert.
He's great also! Leno and Letterman had better think up someone new to joke about every night.
It's getting very boring. David has a thing about the crime in New York and the weather also.

battles.

Reminds me of his Butler's tell all:

Retired Bush valet: W has never wiped own ass

(AP) Thrallport, Maine--Alan Puckerthorn, recently retired lifelong valet of President George W. Bush is surprised that the public thinks of his former master as a "regular guy."

"I served Master Junior from the time he was out of his nappies until my arthritis made it difficult for me to dress and wipe him everyday," Puckerthorn said. "I doubt that he could survive more than a few hours or even minutes without servants to attend to his needs."

Remarkably, he claims the president has never even wiped himself after defecating. "Never. A gentleman does not touch feces even with toilet paper." In fact, toilet paper has never touched Bush's posterior. "His mother insisted we cleanse his anus with natural sponges soaked in mineral water, and then blow on it until it dried."

Puckerthorn didn't consider this duty a hardship until he had to accompany Bush to his one year of public education in fourth grade. "The other children would mock the master viciously when they saw me servicing his rectal hygiene needs. Being a child of privilege this did't hurt his pride any, but it did annoy him." He went on to say that Bush had him beat several of the boys that mocked him. "One must learn to respect their social superiors, and a good drubbing did the trick for most." One boy persisted in teasing Bush though, so Puckerthorn was forced to take the matter to the elder Bush, who used his CIA connection to have the child sold into slavery...

It's a preemptive strike, an attempt to influence Stewart's presentation at the show. It's the classic rightwing tactic, classic Fox News and Karl Rove play. Make the other side play defense is always their gameplan.

It won't work. Stewart will use it to poke fun at Fox News, I hope.
