Katrina vicitim found December 28, Barry Cowsill
LOS ANGELES (Jan. 6) - The body of Barry Cowsill, singer-bassist for the '60s pop act the Cowsills, has been discovered in New Orleans, more than four months after he went missing when Hurricane Katrina hit the city. He was 51.

Cowsill's body was recovered December 28 from the Chartres Street Wharf, according to Dr. Louis Cataldie, head of the state hurricane morgue. The body was identified January 3, based on dental records. A cause of death was not determined.

1. The Cowsills were very famous in the late 60s
I once had all their albums.

RIP, Barry. A damned shame to go down in this way and with this much disrespect for your life from those who were sworn to protect it.

5. There's a webpage
http://www.cowsill.com/

There's a memorial book set-up for Barry.

He called his sister Susan (the youngest one) on Sept 1st and hadn't been heard from since. It'll be sadly interesting to find out cause of death.

Yet more blood on George Bush's hands.

6. haven't found any more information yet
my guess is dehydration/exposure

in the days following katrina, it was very hot and ironically there was no clean water despite the flood waters. it sounds like he wandered off from the convention center which was in terrible shape at that time w. no food or water being provided to people

many people suffering from dehydration experience delusions which can complicate matters if they are lost or in crisis

this is pure speculation though

7. The Cowsills served as the model for the Partridge Family...
With Susan, mother Barbara and brothers Billy, Bob, John and Paul, Barry Cowsill was a member of the popular Rhode Island band that bore the family name. The group charted eight pop singles from 1967-69; its biggest hits, "The Rain, the Park and Other Things" and the title song from the musical "Hair," both reached No. 2 nationally.

8. notice the pigmedia is avoiding this story?
Barry Cowsill was about as main street as you can get- his death from the chaos, neglect or whatever in NOLA will reflect badly on the bushvik gopig whores who quietly gloat over the pictures of poor people stuck on rooftops, so they hurry hurry and get onto something else! (hey 3 kids died of avian flue somewhere in Turkey! honest! 3 kids! wow! extry extry read all about it! 3 kids died of bird flue! damn those birds!!! their names and ages will be reported soon! Then we report on the 3 kids! their grades in school! their shoe sizes! coming right up! 3 kids....))

9. Especially when you consider he wasn't killed by the storm or floods
According to the time line I've seen, he had to have died from a secondary cause -- exposure, starvation, etc, etc.

>hey 3 kids died of avian flue

Were they blonde?

Seriously, that's horrible, too, but it's only being used to frighten, whereas the Barry Cowsill story would inform and heaven knows we can't have that.
