gave the website and i thought i would share it. www.annualcreditreport.com

1. I think that was a law that went into effect last year.
ONE FREE credit report a year.

...if you have just their SSN. Which isn't as hard to get as one might imagine.

Pricks. They shouldn't put this crap online, it should be walk-in.

6. actually i just did my moms. i got the info. i tried my dad's. he
passed away last year -- i couldn't get too far with 2 of the agencies. but the 3rd one i got pretty far. couldn't get the whole thing but i found out who had his mortgage, car loan, how many credit cards, etc. i did this because we were estranged for 28 years so there was a lot i didn't know about him.

so you do need the address, the state and some trick questions.
