Can we start calling it the "Pat Robertson wing of the Republican party"?
I think Pat should be the poster boy for the theocratic neocons.

1. no.
we can call it the "Pat Robertson Party."

no fucking "wing" copout bullshit. the entire party is made up of nutjob theocrats and other power-hungry authoritarian fuckheads, and their worshipful cult members. that's it. the whole fucking thing is rotten. every goddamned one of them. if they haven't bolted by now, they have no fucking shame.

3. Just countering that BS "Michael Moore wing" RW talking point.
Most Americans would be more frightened of a Pat Robertson wing than a Michael Moore wing...except for the wingnuts, of course.

5. I'm with you on the power-hungry fuckheads . . .
As that describes most politicians (they wouldn't be in office if they weren't driven).

But there are many 'Lican politicians (and millions of 'Lican voters) whose religious views are pretty moderate. We forget that fact at our peril, come election day.

19. Well, yeah -- voting R is clearly a case of enabling the . . .
Incompetents, the god-smacked, the tools, the war criminals. Even if the R in question is none of those.

However, we need to peel away centrist 'Licans and no-set-party-affiliation types in November 2006 if there's any hope of ending this nightmare. And this includes religious people, because this country is besotted with religion.

20. No moderate/independent supports Pat Robertson's version of religion.
You say you're supposed to be nice to the Episcopalians and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this, that, and the other thing. Nonsense. I don't have to be nice to the spirit of the Antichrist." -- Pat Robertson, The 700 Club, January 14, 1991

From Pat's own lips.

21. He is a major sicko, no question. And you're quite right . . .
I know lots of religious people, and they despise Robertson as an embarassment to humanity.

I'd say Pat Robertson is representative of the entire Republican party.

I've not heard one sincere condemnation of Pat and his special
brand of Christo-Fascism from one single Republican.... EVER.
And until they do.. Pat Robertson stands for the Republican Party
and the Republican Party firmly stands behind Pat Robertson.

Someday soon, I hope to see them punished all
together for their corrupt ways and criminal schemes..
by both God and Man.

In this batshit crazy time...I feel like I woke up in bizarro world when obvious nutjobs like Pat are given equal media time as legitimate scholars/politicians/scientists.

It's effed up!

27. He's an old rat turd;
Trying to hold power and he sees it slipping away from him. History will judge him, I believe, as a power monger and as having a negative effect on the way people lived in this day and age. I could be wrong; b*** could lob a half dozen nukes at Iran and N Korea and start WWIII and nothing that we do here today will make a god damn bit of difference!

28. We should put Bush and his ilk
right next to Robertson. He wanted to court those crazy fundies NOW BUSH OWNS THEM and I want it to be a huge albatross around his neck. Karl wanted those 30% to have a conservative voice to represent them now good or bad they all belong to Bush.

Just like Jack belongs to them also and Delay and all the rest of the crooks and wackos.
