Not One Dem Received Money Directly from GOP Abramoff! Reminder...
Edited on Sun Jan-08-06 02:35 AM by stepnw1f
not one dime... it was an oath, the GOP took, not to do biz with any Democrat. "The K Street Project is a project by the http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Republican_Party">Republican Party to pressure Washington http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Lobbying">lobbying firms to hire Republicans in top positions, and to reward loyal http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=GOP">GOP http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Lobbyist">lobbyists with access to influential officials. Just google K Street Project and see what you come up with. This is a GOP corruption scandal never seen before. Well, it looks as if they truly did implode, and I say Thank God!

1. This is all about the Republican's "K" Street Project. Recommended.
Don't let the whore Matthews and the other liars pre-sell the "it's everybody" theme. They are also in on it, Matthews, so they're scrambling.

GREAT POST

2. That money was SPENT to steal the election!
What they are giving back now, is not the same money. The money they have now is BECAUSE they stole the election.

The ELECTION is what they should give back!

RECALL THEM ALL!

9. ClayZ, you are EXACTLY right.
There is NO penalty stiff enough for a crime of this magnitude. I'm against capital punishment, but if there were some way for them to be "boiled in oil" without killing them, I'd be all for that.

Perhaps they should be sentenced to survive on a high-cholesterol high-starch diet in cramped quarters and force-fed bad information - you know, force them to work for minimum wage.

the asshats may not have drowned the government yet, but they sure did a good job of letting a great city drown.

No contributions taken

Your Jan. 4 article "Michigan connections in corruption case" leaves readers with the impression that I have received campaign contributions from Jack Abramoff, which is not true.

I am proud to have received support from many fine Michiganders, including the Mount Pleasant-based Saginaw Chippewa tribe, which contributed $1,000 to my re-election in 2002 and again in 2004. To be clear, I have never received any money from Abramoff, nor have I solicited money from him -- and on the issue where he reportedly represented the Chippewa tribe, I was on the other side.

7. It looks to me that it goes this way
GOP got it from Abromoff and Dem. got it from the indians to do things. This sort of looks different to me. Maybe it is because I am a Dem. that I am looking at it that way.

10. Abercrombie's statement:
Abercrombie said he will not return his donation from Abramoff's Indian tribe client because that would imply the tribe was guilty of wrongdoing when it's Abramoff who cheated them.<snip>
Here's the article title:

11. Half listening to NPR this Sun AM
A commentator (sorry, didn't catch who) said oh yeah, Dems took Abramoff money too and cited Sen Dick Durbin, D-Illinois as an example, leaving the clear impression that both sides of the aisle are equally guilty.

Here's Durbin's statement on the matter

http://durbin.senate.gov/record.cfm?id=250249

The comment was unchallenged but we need to strongly respond to such smears. We need to hammer away at the fact that this is GOP corruption, not everyone's problem.

13. We need a "SNOPES" team standing by, at each news broadcast...
Edited on Sun Jan-08-06 11:32 AM by ClayZ
When they lie, birds are released into the room to fly around the room and perhaps sh*t on their heads....

Buzzers go off and a NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE is played loudly on the speakers.

Then a band of truth troubadours with musical instruments and strange costumes, enters stage left and circles the room. They play the theme from "Truth or Consequences". The liar is made to Google The Truth about what they said, and read it aloud with his/her red face.

That will teach them not to lie.

I will play flute at the Fox studio, for not too much money!
