Is Ariel Sharon the next Terri Schiavo?
maybe someone should send Bill Frist a tape...

Some Israeli doctors are saying anyone else in Mr Sharon's condition would have been allowed to die peacefully last Wednesday night when he was rushed to hospital with a massive stroke.

And, they are asking, would he be in the medical situation he is in now if the treatment had been different?

But Ron Krumer, the director of external affairs at Hadassah Hospital, has stood by the treatment the Israeli prime minister has received.

1. I've been thinking

3. The family may have wanted him to live
It's a tough decision. I think one never knows if the person will come out okay or not. It's all one big guess. The ultimate decision when things look so dire, depends on the family members. There are people who want to keep the family member alive no matter what, and there are others who are willing to say goodbye even when there are possibilities of survival. I think men and women also might differ on how they view a close one in this condition.

4. that explains why israeli radio stations were reporting his death
soon followed by an avalanche of counter claims.

There's a thin line between being on life support and being ventilated to keep your organs alive.
