Flaws are attacks from HACKERS AND MALICIOUS PEOPLE

I don't know about anyone else but I have the same Internet Explorer with ALL updates and security patches and fixes as the same person doing the same. But those holes were not really their to exploit because the holes were made and exploited by people who had no business doing so because it also hurts other people. Once and for all it is NOT Bill Gates' or Microsoft's fault for this! I use IE and will continue to use IE forever. I have a cable mode internet connection that can receive up to 9 mbps and I have it on a lot and I mean a LOT. I do not have the same seemingly negative problems others have. I use McAfee I get free with comcast with daily updates, Advanced System Optimizer, Tweakmaster Pro and Diskkeeper 10. So what is the REAL problem people? NOT IE, but people doing the attacking. This will only end when THEY STOP.

Gee, who creates the flaws? The company who pushes its product to people. Microsoft is still at fault.

I may as well sell a car made with poorly developed components and stuck together with masking tape; the holes and flaws will quickly devour me.

Microsoft's waterloo is finally coming. Even remote terminal sessions technology (citrix, thin clients, etc) can't compensate since MS is at the core.

3. G5? You sank my battleship!
Don't laugh for too long. FreeBSD (aka OS X) is a bigger target these days.

4. Agreed....
but I imagine they will be going after the new Intel mac binaries, and not the PPC core that has proven so solid.

IE is bad because M$ built the browser to be completely integrated with the operating system...

the idea is cool, but pretty much unneeded. having a browser that can access your C drive network drive etc is just begging for trouble.

they should have made a stand alone version years ago...I think they said they have worked it out for Vista and IE 7, but who knows if/when that will ever come out.

5. IE7 beta 2 is available if one was so inclined.
I have looked at it because I am nosy, I saw nothing to make me stop using Opera.

2. Planned obsolescence?
Maybe, just look at most of our manufactured products... made with flaws for extra $$$ to be spent keeping them operating.
