Cynthia McKinney situation is lose/lose for Capitol Hill police.

It would be in their best interest to not seek charges and hope the whole thing blows over. They already have a reputation of "profiling" McKinney. No matter what they do, they will come out looking like racists. I think at the last minute they will choose not to press charges, they are just trying to rattle her.

this could get really out of hand. I hope against hope this is not a situation of the C.H.P.D. being used, I'm really trying to believe that it's a misunderstanding that got blown out of proportion. My cynical side keeps telling me otherwise though.
