Larry Flynt Rant
I'm not sure when he posted this. I just came across it earlier tonight.

Get out, Mr. Bush. It's time to leave. We won't ask why you're leaving, whether it's because of incompetence, corruption, treason, criminal negligence or whatever. We just want you to resign and take that war profiteer Dick Cheney with you. We are sick and tired of the Vice President's corrupt cronies at Haliburton getting no-bid contracts to clean up the messes you have made.

Don't try and lie your way out of what happened in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Along with everything else, you were too slow to muzzle the press, to slow to set up your spin machine. Americans have at last seen the truth with their own eyes. They will not be deceived again.

You stole your office both in 2000 and 2004, and consequently have no legitimate claim to it. You lied us into a war that not only has killed 2,000 U.S. troops and 100,000 innocent Iraqi men, women and children, but also tied up our national guard when it was desperately needed here. You have gutted our civil rights, defunded the Treasury and put the American people at poverty's doorstep.

Now, with the help of Hurrican Katrina, you have allowed New Orleans-a major city in your own country-to be destroyed. Don't deny it. FEMA's National Response Plan makes it clear that the federal government must be help accountable, not state and municipal governments. In any case, it was you, Mr. Bush, who defunded the levee project that would have protected the Crescent City and its citizens.

We are done with you. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

1. Flynt is Example A of "Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner"!
Meaning that I'm not a huge fan of his magazines, but I can't help but like him. A lot.

2. I guess Hustler is the only one of his mags I've even looked at
Edited on Sat Apr-01-06 03:15 AM by Syrinx
But I know that he owns a bunch of them covering subjects from cars to computers. And a lot of sex titles of course. He doesn't have a magazine on politics, as far as I know. But he should.

13. Not Knocking Porn - Just Not a Fan
I'm not anti-porn; I just don't 'get' it. No condemnation of those who do.

23. I haven't seen Hustler since the early '80's I think
Back then I thought Playboy was too cool, Hustler was too hot, and Penthouse was just right.

16. Flynt has decent enough journalistic credentials. He'll be a speaker at
the LA Times/UCLA Festival of Books the last weekend of April.

17. Hustler is pretty close to a political magazine
and articles get published that mainstream magazines won't touch.

3. I wholeheartedly agree with you...
about Larry Flynt.

I loved that he called congress on their hypocrisy for calling Clinton a liar, and trying to have him impeached. I love that he is outspoken about government corruption and speaks out against all of the rw admins.

I dislike his demand that adult actors not be required to wear condoms during films.

But I like him, a lot.

Go figure, 'huh?

5. Strange, isn't it?
A pornographer is acting as our moral compass.

He calls shrub on his lies.

He outed hypocritical repukes who had had affairs but were condemning Clinton.

Maybe it is not all that strange after all, considering that we have been living in bizzaro world since 2000.

6. he seems like a fine fellow to me
Smut has been around about as long as civilization... maybe longer.

I don't know how accurate the movie about him was, but judging by the movie he really loved and adored his wife.

And he seems to love his country and its principles more than our "leaders."

But his story about fucking a chicken doesn't sound credible. :)

in Mozambique.

There will be a press conference today releasing the details.

14. Is this one of his "Publisher's Statements"?
If so, he didn't write it. And the guy who wrote it is a bigger douche than Bush could ever hope to be.

20. Does he dictate them? Is it anything like how a president doesn't
write his speeches entirely by himself? Or is it like the case of President Schmucko, who writes not one single word himself?

Please read Larry's book "Sex and Politics - What Official Washington Doesn't Want You To Know." In it, he tears the right wing a new one. It's everyone from Rush Limbaugh to *. Mr Flynt also describes his early life before Hustler. He also describes how his surname became a verb, ie: Bob Livingston was flynted.
