Illegal aliens = new slave class for company profits? A trifecta in the
making?

Since finally waking up to what was happening in this country, I've started watching everything this crime cabal does - trying to anticipage and understand. One thing is that there is never one action taken that doesn't have multiple payoffs for the various cronies that support them. It's not a simple mugging where they put a gun in the face and run away with your wallet - it's always some no bid payoff to one player, some political advancement to another player's adgenda, and just when you think you know the whole store - another player turns out to be making undisclosed mega-bucks off of some combination of the first parts of the corruption.

So the current "fight" within the GOP about immigration. Besides the fact that they needed an issue to rally the base at election time and presto, here's an issue - what else is happening here. Without getting into a huge flamefest about what to do or not do about immigration issues, how does the rest of it stack up?

KBR (Halliburton subsidiary) gets no bid contract to build interment camps
BERKELEY, Calif.--A Halliburton subsidiary has just received a $385 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security to provide "temporary detention and processing capabilities."

The contract -- announced Jan. 24 by the engineering and construction firm KBR -- calls for preparing for "an emergency influx of immigrants, or to support the rapid development of new programs" in the event of other emergencies, such as "a natural disaster." The release offered no details about where Halliburton was to build these facilities, or when.

Rep Sensenbrenner(R-HomeRacistBigot) intros legislation basically declaring all undocumented workers as felons

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House acted Friday to stem the tide of illegal immigration by taking steps to tighten border controls and stop unlawful immigrants from getting jobs. But lawmakers left for next year the tougher issue of what to do with the 11 million undocumented people already in the country.

<snip>

The bill makes unlawful presence in the United States, currently a civil offense, a felony. An amendment to reduce the crime from a felony to a misdemeanor was defeated, with many Democrats voting against the proposal in protest over subjecting people who have overstayed their visas to any criminal charges.

Add in the wingnuts desire to privatize everything, including prisons

By 1997, the numbers of adults in privately operated secure facilities of all sorts&prisons, jails, and illegal immigrant detention centers&reached about 64,000, which constituted less than three percent of the entire United States population of confined adults. The number of facilities had grown to approximately 140, and the industry’s revenues probably approached $1 billion.

mix it up with a dash of contracting out your prison work force for fun and profit

There are presently 80,000 inmates in the US employed in commercial activity, some earning as little as 21 cents an hour. The US government program Federal Prison Industries (FPI) currently employs 21,000 inmates, an increase of 14 percent in the last two years alone. FPI inmates make a wide variety of products—such as clothing, file cabinets, electronic equipment and military helmets—which are sold to federal agencies and private companies. FPI sales are $600 million annually and rising, with over $37 million in profits.

Links to all of the state-owned prison industry operations in the U.S., state by state - see what they are saying! Also, compiled here are direct links to all of the state Department of Corrections that have an on-line presence. Finally, there is a valuable collection of links to other information banks and articles investigating the role of prison industry in the prison industrial complex.

and you wind up with an on-demand 'workforce' of some 11,000,000 workers at $0.21/hour - all completely legal and above board.

And if that's not enough, if it truly is to be No Crony Left Behind - then you can even throw in some Faith Based Funding money to do something for all those prisoners.

1. I don't have the link but there was a very informative site on the
"suicided" Gary Webb, who in addition to writing about bush,sr's major drug trafficking and the bush branch of the cia using crack cocaine to destabilize minority neighborhoods and how the plan went, to set people up for drug busts when they threatened the bush empire, Gary also speaks at a meeting held in a church on the issue of the PRISON INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.

I keep meaning to look up more about Prescott bush's profits from the slave labor at Auschwitz and the survivors and families who tried to sue the bush family when documents were released about a decade ago, but the expensive bush lawyers managed to hush it up.

4. Slave labor is nothing new to the friends of the family BushCo...
Silesian-American Corporation

Snip...

Polish Invasion

With the invasion of Poland in September, 1939 by the Nazis, the taxation and labour dispute between the Polish government and the German-American ownership of "Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation" was resolved. The major coal mining operations of "Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation" were located near the Polish town of Oswiecim. When the plan to use Soviet prisoners as forced labor in the mines failed to materialize, the Nazis began shipping Jews, communists, Romanche (gypsies) and other minority populations to the camp they had set up. Auschwitz-Birkenau, Nazi Germany's largest concentration and extermination camp facility, was established by order of Reichsfuhrer SS Heinrich Himmler on 27 April 1940. I.G. Farben soon built a plant nearby to take advantage, not only of the nearby coal deposits but also of available slave labour. According to a Dutch intelligence agent, Prescott Bush managed a portion of the slave labor force in Poland. Nazi seizure of American assets was handled with the utmost care in the hope that America could be placated from joining the war. Control of American interests in CSSC and SAC between the Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939 and the investigations and seizure by the US government under the Trading With The Enemy Act in the autumn of 1942 is a murky picture at best and Bush's role in management of labour at Auschwitz has never been officially confirmed or denied. http://www.straightdope.com/columns/030214.html by Cecil Adamsaddresses these claims with a great deal of skepticism. Heir to the Holocaust

snip...

By 1934, Hindenberg was dead and Hitler completely controlled Germany. In March, Hitler announced his plans for a vast new highway system. He wanted to connect the entire Reich with an unprecedented wide road design, especially around major ports. Hitler wanted to bring down unemployment but, more importantly, needed the new roads for speedy military maneuvers. Hitler also wanted to seriously upgrade Germany's military machine. Hitler ordered a'"rebirth of the German army" and contracted Thyssen and United Steel Works for the overhaul. Thyssen's steel empire was the cold steel heart of the new Nazi war machine that led the way to World War II, killing millions across Europe.

Thyssen's and Flick's profits soared into the hundreds of millions in 1934
and the Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart and UBC in New York were overflowingwith money. Prescott Bush became managing director of UBC and handled the day-to-day operations of the new German economic plan. Bush's shares in UBC peaked with Hitler's new German order. But while production rose, cronyism did as well.

On March 19, 1934, Prescott Bush handed Averell Harriman a copy of that
day's New York Times. The Polish government was applying to take over Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation and Upper Silesian Coal and Steel Company from'"German and American interests" because of rampant "mismanagement, excessive borrowing, fictitious bookkeeping and gambling in securities." The Polish government required the owners of the company, which accounted for over 45% of Poland's steel production, to pay at least its full share of back taxes. Bush and Harriman would eventually hire attorney John Foster Dulles to help cover up any improprieties that might arise under investigative scrutiny.

Hitler's invasion of Poland in 1939 ended the debate about Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation and Upper Silesian Coal and Steel Company. The Nazis knocked the Polish Government off Thyssen, Flick and Harriman's steel company and were planning to replace the paid workers. Originally Hitler promised Stalin they would share Poland and use Soviet prisoners as slaves in Polish factories. Hitler's promise never actually materialized and he eventually invaded Russia. 5. Have you ever read Catherine Austin Fitts?
She has a six part atricle at Narco News that documents these trends as someone from the inside. It's a great read if you have a couple of hours.

6. If corporations are people, then I would like to say
Edited on Sat Apr-01-06 08:32 AM by darkmaestro019
that I am firmly and shamelessly "racist" against that group. Period. All of em. The only good corporation is a dead corporation. Humans have genocide down to a fine art but I haven't quite yet figured out how to march corporations along a murderously long trail or herd them into camps. Can we at least get a flag or a logo or a nifty costume for that? I do so love to make costumes : ) Perhaps a cape, I don't think any groups of avowed bigots are using that at present....and it's so impressive to do the Vader sweep out of a room...

edit: quotes and additional silliness :D
