Iraqis Debate Sweeping Immigration Reform (humor)
IRAQIS DEBATE SWEEPING IMMIGRATION REFORM — SHOULD AMERICANS BE DEPORTED?
By Don Davis
Defying the naysayers, who claimed that political consensus in Iraq could never be reached, Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish factions found common ground today, and tentatively approved a sweeping immigration reform bill specifically aimed at deporting all Americans.

Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari explained that the Americans had not been invited into Iraq, were here illegally, and were using Iraqi services without paying taxes.

Mr. al-Jaafari further stated that not only do the Americans not speak the language, but they ignore Iraqi customs, such as lacerating one’s own skin with knotted ropes.

Many other Iraqi politicians echoed these sentiments. Particularly annoying, said one Shiite cabinet member, was the necessity of having to listen to the 911 Operator in both Arabic and English, everytime a suicide bomb went off.
