anyone remember Heath Shuler? I guess he's running for Congress
in North Carolina. He's a democrat, though he's not pro-choice and opposes gun control. Apparently he's running on economic issues, though his campaign wesbite gives little indication of what he stands for: http://www.heathshuler.com/

I think he's part of an effort to (a) widen the tent and (b) attract headline names for the '06 elections. Does anyone from NC have a read on his chances?

4. yeah, big flop ... he came out when it was still pretty rare for juniors
to jump to the NFL early. I remember there being a lot of debate whether or not he should go ...

2. Longtime Skins Fan here. I remember him. Surprised to find out he's
a Dem. A conservative Democrat, but a Dem none the less.

Maybe I'll contribute a couple dollars to his campaign.

3. I'm in the district he's running in.
And any Dem who opposes the POS Charles Taylor (R-Greed&Corruption) is okay by me.

My understanding is that he's from this area (I'm not, originally) and has name recognition from his high school as well as college days.
