OMG Who is watching The Sopranos? |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-02-06 08:17 PM by proud2Blib
Some fundie nuts are visiting Tony in the hospital and trying to pray for him!
One of them is wearing a Terri Schiavo t-shirt. LOL
This is the BEST show.

14. I'm coming in late to this discussion... |
|
but Tony's "what, like the Flintstones?" was priceless. What a meaty episode - fundamentalists, birth control, Viagra, evolution, health care...and NO "Kevin Finnerty"!

But they cut to the next scene so quickly it almost got lost.
And what a great cameo by Hal Holbrook! Beautifully written and acted.

|
Tony's like the the free-market folks in the Administration. He believes in free enterprise but he takes the vig. Works out great...except even he gets bounced out of the hospital when the time's up.
True equality..

6. The Sopranos says this thing is worth fighting for! |
|
if bushinc wins, then things like the 'Sopranos' could never happen-already the suffrocation of the arts is happening- 'confess, repent and obey' soon to be the holy orders; what isn't mandated must be illegal

12. Yep, loved how the expression on Tony's face changed |
|
You could just read his mind " Oh, yeah, that's right you're a nutbag. I had almost mistaken you for a normal human being." When the preacher launched into the anti-evolution rant.

25. what a well-written show... |
|
the 4,000 bucks Paulie is going to extort from that guy whose mother begged to spare him... and Paulie's 'mother's' nursing home fee is $4,000 month... is that money for the nursing home support? Repayment for what Paulie feels he is owed for supporting his aunt?
I wonder if Tony will find out...

I wonder if the right-wing talkers will be whining about how the Sopranos is promoting a "liberal agenda" tomorrow..

21. I like the Sopranos, but can't commit to watch them regularly so ... |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-03-06 12:30 AM by Neil Lisst
I always wait and get the whole season on DVD, then watch them over and over. It takes about three good watchings to really get it all, but then, I'm usually doing something else while watching.
I hate watching one episode, then missing one, then getting the next one and trying to figure out what happened. So, I just wait.

23. Tony also got a bit in there for the Katrina victims |
|
when he was talking about 'fair' to the son of the trash company owners. "You wanna know about fair? Talk to the Katrina victims...."
LOVED the way they worked so many hot buttons into the show, and love to see this side of Tony!
I was pissed at the end though, outside the hospital, when he was trying to talk with Janice and she was being so flakey.

btw Janice's ex (the narcoleptic fundie) was at Austin's SXSW a couple of weeks ago and he was actually a decent guy......kinda hinted he was still in the cast.....wish I had known, I would have traded him something for his Terri Shiavo Vigil shirt.
