1. Many are in denial, but not us folks on the Gulf Coast.

4. I chose that one.
Because Bush seems to WANT terrible things to happen--I can't imagine anyone being MORE effective in MAKING or letting terrible things happen. Every time something awful happens it immediately becomes a way for him to hand out money to the people who hand him money and the people who handed him the White House. He makes a LIVING from terrible things happening. His family always has.

8. Why are you so surprised, Kentuck?
I wish I could be more optomistic, but all indicators point to a world changing "big event." I am talking about an event even more serious than 9/11. What proof do I have? None, really. Just a bad feeling with, like I said, numerous clues to go on.

5. The popularity of bizarre tv is indicative...
....of how everyone is trying to escape reality.

This country is like a big dysfunctional family right now--headed by a raging alcoholic psychopath.

As with dysfunctional families--there is a lot of silence, a lot of second guessing, too many lies and a truck load of denial.

Most of us here understand that we are in dangerous times. The other half of the country is numbed out watching "American Idol" and other really violent, bizarre television shows that allow them to numb out and avoid reality.

America is slowly coming out of denial though. The polls reflect that. The tide is shifting. Let's all hope that--by the time the denial cloud subsides--that the country can still be saved.

7. The list too long, the ramifications too hellish.
SS investment lost.
Future sold to the Chinese.
Economic collapse heightening and looming.
Our young sold into wars.
Our resources drained and destroyed.
Nuclear weapons to become commonplace.
Democracy destroyed by control of 1/2% or less of world population.
Enforced slavery by poverty and law.
.. the list goes on and on.

It's worse than we want to admit, even to ourselves.
