Bush planned Iraq 'regime change' before becoming President

Sunday Herald - 15 September 2002

By Neil Mackay

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A SECRET blueprint for US global domination reveals that President Bush and his cabinet were planning a premeditated attack on Iraq to secure 'regime change' even before he took power in January 2001.
The blueprint, uncovered by the Sunday Herald, for the creation of a 'global Pax Americana' was drawn up for Dick Cheney (now vice- president), Donald Rumsfeld (defence secretary), Paul Wolfowitz (Rumsfeld's deputy), George W Bush's younger brother Jeb and Lewis Libby (Cheney's chief of staff). The document, entitled Rebuilding America's Defences: Strategies, Forces And Resources For A New Century, was written in September 2000 by the neo-conservative think-tank Project for the New American Century (PNAC).

The plan shows Bush's cabinet intended to take military control of the Gulf region whether or not Saddam Hussein was in power. It says: 'The United States has for decades sought to play a more permanent role in Gulf regional security. While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein.'

The PNAC document supports a 'blueprint for maintaining global US pre-eminence, precluding the rise of a great power rival, and shaping the international security order in line with American principles and interests'.

This 'American grand strategy' must be advanced for 'as far into the future as possible', the report says. It also calls for the US to 'fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theatre wars' as a 'core mission'.

1. "premeditated attack on Iraq" ie Hitleresque war of aggression.
What the Nuremburg Tribunal called "the supreme crime".

The entire world knows it. Except for the 32% MFing stupid bushbots.

2. It says these policies are so radical that it will take a long time for
implementation, unless a catalyzing event like a "new Pearl Harbor" occurs. Geez, I wonder what that could have been? If there ever was a more prescient statement about the exploitation of 9-11 then I don't know what that could be.

5. Why can't we mention Hitler?
I mean some people (like me) might think that the hitler comparison is a bad idea because it ends discussion - and others might think the comparison isn't very good. But it's not like any of these people have any power to stop you from making it - they can just criticize you when you make that comparison.

So if you want to make a Hitler comparison go right ahead.

14. I'm sorry. You can say War Crimes but you can't say
Violation of International Law. Please refrain from doing so in the future, or suffer the consequences.

Wait, I don't have any consequences.

I guess you can go ahead and say Violation of International Law all you want.

8. If you haven't already visited the PNAC site, it provides some
very interesting reading. You can tell who is setting U.S. policies and it's not George Bush.

9. A SECRET blueprint for US global domination
Are these words the most obscene ever?

Our founding fathers would be so ashamed (if not surprised) to see these words written and published.

10. It's not a SECRET at all!
It's right up there on the PNAC website and has been for quite a while. When they finished it in 2000 they pubished it.

That really bothers me, when I tell people who get their news in 15 second sound bites that this was all planned out before they even got into office they look at me like I have a third eye and accuse me of being a conspiracy nut. It's right there for the whole internet world to see!

True, it's not well known by the masses but it sure as hell should be!

12. While all exposure of PNAC is a good thing...
...doesn't it seem a bit much for thm to claim "The blueprint, uncovered by the Sunday Herald,"

Yeah, you guys really had to work hard to "uncover" that document. :sarcasm: People have only been screaming about it on the 'intern-nets' for the past 5 years! http://www.newamericancentury.org/RebuildingAmericasDefenses.pdf
