1. oh, I'm teary-eyed just thinking of it.
RIP, my dear friend, aka Leo McGarry

You were a wonderful actor (and I have little doubt) a wonderful man in "real life."

2. Is this a rerun of the last one or a new one?
Last debate was GREAT and probably worth watching again, but I thought the new season would have started by now.

4. Not a rerun. Was great!
For those who did not watch, the program started with Martin Sheen, as himself, expressing the sorrow that they had with Spencer's sudden death. Adding that the best tribute would be to show his work and then the program started.

On rehearsal, "Leo" was terrible but at the end, during the actual debate, he was brilliant.

He was asked - oh it hurt - about a V.P. being one heart beat away from the president, considering he had a heart attack. His reply was that most first heart attacks are fatal but he survived because he had access to the best medical care in the world: a medical care that both he and his opponent - a governor - have, but that millions are denied.

And, yes... a spoiler, so if you taped it do not watch

5. Just saw it on the West Coast! Oh Leo - Oh John that was Emmy
class work! Sob. John showed why he was a great charcter on the West Wing. Leo got one by all the political pros. John Spencer delivered a first class performance!
