Let's see, what could they talk about tonight? Tom Delay's a Quitter, The Bush reaction, the Cable "news" falling in lock step on the Talking Points...

What else?

And on a similar subject, The Daily Show's former Head Writer and now current Executive Producer of both "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" was did a "long form" (37:13) interview today on the WHYY/NPR show "Fresh Air!" Very interesting if you ever wondered how they come up with the stuff they do. Here's a link:

'Daily Show' Producer Ben Karlin

Listen to this story...(at link above)

Fresh Air from WHYY, April 4, 2006 · Come up with a list of the
dream writing jobs in comedy and at least three of them are likely to
come up on one man's resume: Ben Karlin is
executive producer of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
and co-executive producer of The Colbert Report,
both on the cable channel Comedy Central. Before that, Karlin
was editor of the satirical weekly newspaper The Onion.
