If Tom DeLay is a victim . .
What does that make the people of:

1) New Orleans;

2) Darfur; or

3) Burma??

What about the 45 million people in this country with no health insurance or the children living in poeverty?

What the hell kind of nation have we become??

Ronnie Earle a medal for opening the door to the mess that is DeLay...it is a sad day when a big fat rich asshole cries abuse of the very system he used to promote himself - he really must be scared and anxious over all this ...... my ass, I hope he does some jail time...

4. Serious Question
I am a convert and am asking a serious question here so please do not torch me...Truly, what is different about what Delay did with these funds than what they all do with campaign funds? Is is just a matter of degree? I have read that many in Congress on both sides have done the same thing...I have never iked Delay even when I was a moderate republican. He reeks of power one bad but what makes his case so much different?

8. Doubt if I have the best answer but ...
What DeLay did (money laudering pac money to state races I believe - it's been a while) was at the time he did it clearly violating Texas law. And, If I recall correctly, he did it openly with a 'what are you going to do about it?" attitude. So he crossed a line that others may nudge.
Similar to Bush violating the FISA act and then bragging about it on the radio with a "I dare you to do something about it!" speech.

6. Tom DeLay created his own problems
But so typical of most republicans when they get caught they will blame anyone they can in order to play the victim. He's a ruthless good-for-nothing, and I'm glad he's getting just exactly what he deserves.
Hope these criminals all go down.

11. Oh, well, you see -
all those people are lazy. They should pull themselves up by their own bootstraps. Tom, on the other hand, is a victim of us godless libruls, who are keeping him from doing God's work.

:sarcasm:

12. "What the hell kind of nation have we become?"

We must reclaim our imperfect country every day -- with countless imperfect actions.

History will tell the tale of the people -- more than of the leaders.

13. You're only a victim if those NASTY LIBRULS did it.

You know.

Those big nasty Libruls with hobnails boots and planks of wood with nails in that tie up and torture innocent brown people and snigger at death row inmates. THOSE nasty libruls.
