A public service announcement for all parents!
In light of the recent Republican internet pedophile scandals (Brian Doyle), please have a heart-to-heart with your 10 through 16 year old daughters tomorrow. Have them memorize the following phrase, guaranteed to stave off the Republican males:

"HI! My daddy is an armed services recruiter!! Wud u like some enlistment forms emailed 2 u?"

3. I think enlistment forms are available as PDF -
she should attach one to her post. Along with a telephone number very prominently displayed for her local police department's sex crimes unit.

You'll never see a repuke run as fast as you will when presented with the possibility of enlisting in a war they support. It's quite funny. I handed one to a creep who was being quite vocal in a local restaurant the other day. He was in the right age group, about 23 or so - and there had to have been at least 10 other military folks there.

I wasn't quiet about it either. I simply said (and my voice does carry well) that I had an extra enlistment form with me, would he like to fill it out? As I was handing it to him, I said, I'm sure one of the guys in that booth over there (pointing) would be happy to take it to the recruiting office for you.

The guy left. He left the form on the (soiled) table. I picked it up, walked over and thanked our troops for their service, paid for their meals and left.

But it felt really good - these guys were all grinning like idiots when the blustery repuke wimped out. I know it's not because I was flirting with them! (I would've, but the mean age at their table was about 24 or so, and I'm a definite 50!)

5. Nah, just an aging hippie smartass who happens to think
our troops (at least our local guys & gals) are worthy and capable young people caught up in a cobweb of lies, and despicable money-grubbing by our so-called "leaders".
