Atlanta is the Sex Capital of the US
Accoprding to Reuters this morning. Atlanta comes in number one for guys looking for illegal sex - mainly underage girls. Guy flies in and has sex with an underage girl for lunch and then flies home to have dinner with his family.

God, that is just vile.

So this is the dark underside of the Bible Belt? I think it is actually only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the dark underside of the Bible Belt. Strict religion seems to bring out the shadowside of people - especially men.

2. That's just one of the many hypocrisies that got me out of the church
When I was 17, my pastor (a southern "gentleman") had an affair with a married member of the congregation. Upon hearing of her husband's transgressions, his wife tried to kill herself.

One in a long list of vile stories I could tell about my youth spent in a fundie church.

3. Strict moralists often are rules lawyers
so if the young girl is (insert excuse here) then it's ok. Because (insert petty rationalization here).

on "all of those blacks who live there."

6. Well, it's a felony.
So it it is a felony and if getting caught will completely destroy you, why would you seek sex on the internet?

How dumb are these people?

8. That's Atlanta for you. Tacky, tacky, tacky. Money and no soul.
I would put the hat on corporatism here, not the Bible Belt. Guys with too much money who think that because they make too much money, society owes them something. In this case, a fifteen year old girl. I agree with a poster above, that ain't sex.

10. Atlanta is a corporate bubble. Has nothing to do with the South.

The many suits who live in the Republican suburbs, travel to and through here attract the sex trade. We have more strip clubs than any other metropolitan city.

As always, it's Corporate America's fault.

17. Newsflash: The "Bible Belt" is a FARCE!
Dallas one of the most conservative cities in the nation. "Condoms to Go" signs all over the place. Frequent prop planes dragging airborne banners over major highways during rush hour that promote "Gentleman's Clubs." TONS of strip clubs (you can easily distinguish the conspicuous buildings with no windows) EVERYWHERE, VERY popular around here. Beer/Wine/Liquor stores all over the place. And most people know better than to drive around past, say, 11:00pm at night - drunk driving a HUGE problem here.

Bible Belt? PLEASE! The hypocrisy drives me crazy.

18. And then there is Kansas. And Missouri.
There is a lot of hypocrisy in the Bible Belt. I think it may come from trying to practice a religion that is impossible. I saw the same thing in Salt Lake City. People have one face that they present to the public and are completely different underneath.
