9. A few towns that went for Chimpy voted YES to have troops leave
The towns that voted down the referendums were very close as well. It felt good to be one of the many in Madison to vote Yes!

12. good going fellow cheesies!
This is great news. I was afraid "leave immediately" might not sit well with some voters.

In my mind, "leave immediately" does not preclude international peacekeeping efforts ... it just means we have no legitimate purpose in being there and no claim to the oil and are only serving to inflame the situation... but I know some people were quibbling about the "immediately" part thinking we had to somehow protect the innocent people and not just throw them to the wolves

Just think how many more wouldve voted for "leave as soon as humanly possible w/ a timeline & diplomatic/ international peacekeeping measures in place." ! We are the majority!!!

13. I'm so glad to hear this! I hope Wisconsin finds its proud progressive
self again. Proxmire would be proud of ya! I was so depressed driving around the state in late 2004 with all those Bush/Cheny signs EVERYWHERE.
