22. I love Colbert, but I'm lukewarm on his show.
He needs some other personalities on there. His bits are funny, but I think he needs some side kicks.

In the end, I think I liked it better when he was on TDS.

23. Yeah, I'm kind of the same.
I love TDS but I sometimes give Colbert a miss. The whole Colbert shtick is getting old.

I heard that Zarqawi is in line for the Couric seat on TODAY.

6. They would have to get rid of Mat Laurer, which would be a good
thing, because Jon and Matt would be like oil and water. Matt has no sense of humor and couldn't possibly hide his feelings when Jon would make fun of the Dimson. It's got to be a woman anyway.

7. That will never happen.
Comedy Central pays him a ton and Jon knows he isn't an anchor and he could not get away with the stuff he pulls if he was on NBC. I love how i talk like i know him haha :). I bet they will either bump Ann Curry up or get someone from outside the show. I don't like any of them anyways, they have all become so full of themselves its gross. Lauer though is starting to get my respect back, he has had some good interviews and i respect the man for sitting through an interview with the ass Tom Cruise without slapping him silly.

11. No, they'll get another perky blond unknown
They need somebody to balance Lauer and that means they need the girl next door. "Today" is a formula show, and they've been burned in the past when they've tried to modify the formula.

17. It's my impression that she prefers the field work, however dangerous.
But I'd support her in a rapid fire second. She's one of the few reporters that I actually consider a journalist.

21. How about CBS hiring Stewart instead of Couric for the news anchor slot...
... and leaving Couric where she is now...

I think Stewart would do a heck of a better job than her and many other of our current set of pretty boy/girl anchors we have.

Only problem is that we'd lose a good comedian in the process if he tried to be professional (which I think his ethics would tell him to do) and not throw in too much well-placed satirical comments.
