If Tom DeLay had done EVERYTHING McKinney is said to have done,
would his case be going before a grand jury right now, as is McKinney's? If not, explain any and all reasons why not?

1. No,
because the repukes would be squashing the investigation.

2. Of course not.
He's white, male, and republican. He's protected from all but his most attrocious crimes. Look how long and hard people had to work to get his into court.

McKinney is vulnerable because she's black, female and a democrat, so they're all piling on.

Double standards abound.

3. Well I think it would be going to the Grand Jury, but it would have never
happen in the first place. But lets say in some alternate universe white people were treated if they all look a like, like apparently black women do. Then it would be going to the Grand Jury, but the press would be spinning it like the cop was wrong.

4. Interesting observation about the media reaction. But I still don't see
this being taken to a grand jury if a DeLay -- or even if a Jeanne Schmidt -- were the one involved.
