Don't be fooled by John McCain....

he is a snake in the grass. The guy has never seen a military action he didn't like, justified or not. The guy reminds me of a Dr. Strangelove

1. He's a big bag of hot gas....
I watched him on the Senate floor on CSPAN today (Doesn't he look like one of those claymation figures?) and he just exudes bullshit.

2. Yep. The McCain mindset is way, way Right. And therefore wrong.
He was a refreshing uplift for the 2000 New Hampshire primary, but those days are long gone.

And his voting record has always been American frontier, c. 1875.

4. Thing about 2000 primaries
though rove probably surpassed Lee Atwaters in sleaze in the treatment of McCain (and others), I noticed McCain came close to coming completely unhinged a couple of times. He's wound tight.

7. That's right. He does seem to be wound pretty tight.
That's probably not good for a run for the White House.

3. Thom Hartmann kept calling him "NutFace" today.
I loved it... Thom kept saying, "Look at him, he's like a squirrel! How many do you think he's holdin' in there?"

5. He's a great hero who we should all respect and honor
He made great sacrifices for his country. The guy can still hardly walk from what they did to him.

And he's also a very conservative Republican with a vision of America that has to be defeated. He's a great danger to the cause of progressive politics. Perhaps the greatest danger we face in the post-Bush future.

8. He's not that bad
I honestly think he says alot of the stuff he does for the presidential race and the party nomination. He's a billion times better than Bush.

10. I might have agreed with you, until he made...
..that stupid "no American would pick lettuce for $50/hr." crack. He's completely detached from reality. Mark my words, that will be his undoing.

11. McCain was screaming for Clinton to put US soldiers into Kosovo after...
...two weeks of bombing. Wouldn't that have been real smart?

12. What? After what Bush and Rove did to him in the 2000
primaries this guy laid down and kissed their ass, and he hasn't stopped yet. I mean for christ sakes they tried to say he had an illegitimate child(adopted) and claimed that he had lost his mind in the POW camp in Vietnam. They spread rumours and lies about him and killed what would have been his shot at the Presidency.

13. Did he make fun of Chelsea Clinton in public ( when she was still a child)
for the presidential race and the party nomination?

ANYONE is a billion times better than Bush, except Cheney. But McCain doesn't have that much to recommend him.

He let Bush and Rove trash him and his family in the 2000 primaries and now whores for Bush every chance he gets.

I can't share your view.

15. His voting record sucks. And a billion times better than Bu*h
Edited on Wed Apr-05-06 07:28 PM by Zorra
adds up to less than zero.

After the way Bu*h smeared him and his family during the 2000 Presidential campaign, McCain bowed at Bu*h's feet.

Pathetic.
