Schwarzenegger Hurt in Motorcycle Mishap

LOS ANGELES - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger received 15 stitches in his lip Sunday after he and his 12-year-old son were involved in a motorcycle accident near their Los Angeles home, his spokeswoman said.

Schwarzenegger was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle with his son Patrick in the sidecar when another driver backed into the street, spokeswoman Margita Thompson said in a statement.

"The governor was unable to avoid the vehicle in his path and collided with it at a low speed," she said.

Both Schwarzenegger and his son were treated for cuts and bruises at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica and released, Thompson said. Both were wearing helmets at the time, she said.

Please get well quick Arnold.

9. Don't take pleasure in it
Yeah, he's a dick, no question about it, but at the same time, the son of a good democrat (though her credentials as of late are in serious question) was in a motorcycle wreck. Try not to be so...you know.

16. What's a twelve year old doing on a motorcycle???
Outrageous. Motercycles are, I think, no place for a twelve year old. My dad was hurt bad on a motorcycle when he was about my age (I'm twenty-three). He now has fake teeth (you can't tell) and has problems with his knee.

21. It shows how much concern Arnold really has for children.
If he endangers his own, I have to believe that all those promises he made to take care of the children in his SOTS speech were nothing more than hot air.

22. The kid was in a sidecar and
not driving his own motorcycle. I had a motorcycle at 14 yrs. (off road) and had plenty of bang ups. Probably went over the handlebars at least 3 times. One of them was when a dog ran out to chase me but misjudged and ran in front of me. I was doing about 35-40 mph and hit him square. I would give real money to have a video of this. I went over the handlebars and landed flat on my back in some very wet ground. Thankfully I was OK and so was the dog. He never engaged me again.
