the thing that gets me is, if BUSHIT has the power to DECLASSIFY anything
that he wants to, at any time that he wants to, why in blazes didn't he say, I did it. There is no problem. I declassified Plame's identity under my power to do so.

WHY DID HE HIDE HIMSELF and say something akin to, I want to know who did it and when i do they will be fired.

Was the great bastard afraid to show his true treasonous colors?

Did he not want to face wilson or plame?

did he know he shouldn't have but did anyway?

WHY NOT COME RIGHT OUT LIKE A MAN STANDIN ON HIS OWN TWO LEGS OR HIS CAJONES AND SAY, I DID IT.

WHY O WHY, O WHY?

2. Because he has no such power.
And is a traitor.

And should be tried as a traitor.

And punished as a traitor.

And he doesn't want that. (who would?)

7. hmm
Maybe he's subconsciously sabotaging himself. Due to the fact that he didn't say he did it, he can now be brought up on Obstruction of Justice charges.

Though I disagree that he had the right to, even if that sadist Gonzo says he can.

11. That would be funny - as the prez he can declassify at will,
and according to many it would be legal - but by the point you are making, if he allows Fitzgerald to go after Liddy while knowing that Liddy is innocent, he would be guilty of obstructing justice - a high crime if I ever heard of one.

You make good point there, DIKB

8. This same question has been asked at least five different ways and.......
...the answer still remains that there had to be more to the outing of Plame than we were told. No doubt Plame and her husband were about to come into information that would have blown the whole Bush war/election/everything right out of the water. I can't help but think Plame was a matter of a day or two from getting that very damming information and the only way to stop it was for the Bush idiots to out her and attack her husband too.

12. they are so dirty these bushes ...
I wonder if any of them suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder? no matter how many times they'd wash their hands the dirt and stench of their lies and bloody war games would never clean up any of them.

10. One reason - as Fitz alluded to in his appearance a few
months ago is that this all would have been dealt with in October. Just in time for the 2004 Presidential election.

But I don't think that is the reason. He didn't want this out ever; so they attempted a cover up and failed.

mild measure compared to the IMPEACHMENT AND KICK OUT OF OFFICE THAT HE DESERVES.

16. So why bother to classify anything if the present idiot
occupying the Oval Office can do so at his whims? There seems to be no point in it?

19. Maybe they felt it would
hurt their reelection chances if this came out before the election and they have gotten away with everything else anyway so it would just die down and be forgotten.

He's a coward anyway, bullies like dimson have no courage.

Even if technically he can declassify information it would seem that there is a responsibility to the national good and that's what the crime is, going against national interests.
