I'm Proud Of The Democrats |
|
on the House Judiciary. I've been watching the questioning of the AG by dems. They've been dogged and determined in their questioning. Weiner, Lofgren, van Holland(sp?), Waters and others have been asking tough questions.
We don't hesitate to knock democrats in Congress, and often it's well deserved. We see fewer posts praising them when they do a good job. Just thought I'd thrown in a word of praise. They really knocked abu gonza around.

The Dems get knocked around pretty good here at DU. And so do those that support them. Duck and cover.

besides, anyone who watched this and didn't think that the dems did a fine job, just has their own agenda to press.

9. Some "Dems" do get knocked around here and deserve it but your statement |
|
seems to paint with an awfully wide brush. I would venture to say over seventy-five percent here are Democrats. People are upset because they want better for their country and you seem to make lite of that. Democrats are in a bad place. Imagine yourself in the middle of a Crime Syndicate without any power to make change. There are a few that consistantly vote with the Criminals though and that does make us quite sad and angry. Ben Nelson, Joe Lieberman, Mary Landreau, just to name a few.

The frustration to the point of tearing one's hair out is not only understandable but shared.

2. Yeah, this is the third time I've watched this. |
|
That damned lieing little weasel is quite an administration prick. He's saying, over and over, that they've taken all our rights and freedoms. The sense of total powerlessness and frustration is almost overwhelming. There's just got to be a way to jerk these jerks out and send them to prison forever.

3. They can only get better |
|
and they will. I'm not being sarcastic because I think that it's hard for people to understand how hard their jobs are. I live near the home of my US senator so I know that he works unbelievable hours. Once you have put your heart and soul into something for 6 years, could you stand the thought of being fired? It is hard enough to contemplate the loss of a 9 to 5 job after 6 years, let alone the kind of job that has consumed your life. It's not just the power thing. There are some people that truly are motivate by altruism but even altruism can become addictive.

5. Bush didn't get to 34% on accident |
|
Dems have been hammering away on issue after issue, coming out really strong since social security. Every other day there's one of our glorious "found their balls and spine" threads, only for people to return to Dem bashing within hours. Frankly, I think we're being played and it's just another divisive tactic from people who were never Democrats in the first place.

6. The Judiciary Has Always Been Stellar |
|
What scares the Repugnicans more than Hillary is the thought of John Conyers wielding the gavel as head of the Judiciary Committee. Some of our best sit on that committee including Reps. Nadler, Waters, Jackson-Lee, Wexler and others...one of the few committees that hasn't backed down to this regime.

....for someone to notice the Democrats have been more than doing their job.:dem:
The only reason we are getting any kind of info on the Bush criminal bunch at all is because :dem: have been doing their jobs all this time,:grouphug: hammering away at the neocons/fundies.:puke:
Hopefully their efforts will pay off in November:bounce: :patriot:

8. I'm proud of most all of them |
|
They have remained standing through the worst blitzing ever.
Remember: that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and I believe our dems are growing stronger day by day. It isn't just that the pubbies are weaker; they are just as bitter and unjust as they ever were, its an outgrowth from the lessons learned after the pubbies uncomparable assault on our democracy.
