Why doesn't FUX ever report the GOOD news in Iraq?
Edited on Sat Apr-08-06 08:32 AM by npincus
I tuned in (briefly) this morning, and the goings-on yesterday in Iraq FUX reported: death and mayhem all over the place... no happy, smiley news at all. So, why doesn't the RW media ever report the GOOD news in Iraq?

And, on another topic: FUX captions did not use the words "leak" or "classified" documents... No, FUX called it a "disclosure of Intel"... so FUX talking heads have been given their orders: no to "leaks", yes to "disclosure"... and do NOT refer to them as "classified documents". After all, once the President waves his sceptor, classified status can disappear in a puff of smoke.

1. Why does FAUX hate America?
Perhaps their "immigrant" CEO has other intentions

(sarcasm)

2. they are trying to be "fair & balanced" don't forget
so, reality calls on them to at least report a bit of the carnage.

4. Yes! They successfully changed a toilet paper roll in a building
There is no running water, the mirror is busted and the toilet doesn't flush, but there is a brand-new roll of toilet paper waiting to be used.

Paper, toilet - 1 roll - Halliburton price $15.78.

7. but alas, there's no happy ending...
an IED explosion outside the building knocks an Iraqi off the toilet, the lid falls on his head and he gets a concussion. On the way to the hospital a Sunni militia stops the ambulance, pull out the injured Iraqi mistaking him for a Sh'iite, beats him to a bloody pulp and leave him in ditch. Then some passing American soldiers mistake him for an insurgent, and shoot him dead as he shouts for help.

And it's another happy, smiley day in the new Iraq!

And kids flying kites and "Tikrit man rescues children from evildoers" stories?

They should be leading the way on this.

C'mon, Fox Foreign Bureau Chief, get those lazy correspondents off their couches in those hotel rooms and get them out there in the streets.

Or are they afraid of being pelted by flowers?

6. You've nailed the essential fallacy in their presentation.
The cool thing is that a goodly number of the mesmerized are starting to spot the holes in the fundie underwear. Just like the replay of this week's judicial hearing.
Even that malodorous little sanctimonious twit, Sensenbrenner, was taking a stiff line with Gonzo, with only a few pukes doing the usual client rehabilitation. A considerable number, particularly dems, let him know, without actually causing a fight, that they were perfectly aware that the lying shitsack was trying to sell them snow and they weren't buying it.
The "good news" gap in fux noose coverage should be ridden like a mule and pointed to, loudly, whenever the opportunity presents itself.
