Fitz, bush and cheney: A few questions |
|
So, Fitz talks to bush and cheney. If they told him they don't know who leaked, they lied. Can a president get in trouble for lying to Fitz?
If they told Fitz the truth and that bush declassified Plame's cover, why would there still be a need to investigate? Wouldn't the investigation have stopped right there?
How is declassifying Plame's cover in the public interest? In what way does it serve the American people? How does it discredit the claims Joe Wilson made?
Just some questions from my rambling thoughts. I highly doubt we'll ever get legitimate answers to most of them. By all rights, articles of impeachment should be drawn up just based on this alone.
Oh, and one more. Didn't Joe Wilson say he believed bush knew all about this from the very beginning?

Of course TRUTH is an unknown ethic for the Bush administration, or the Republicans for that matter.

2. how did it "discredit" wilson? |
|
by revealing that plame worked for the cia, they could argue that plame recommended sending wilson; i.e., that he was merely a crony or that sending him to niger was a favor to his wife.
ironic, isn't it, that the masters of cronyism would argue against cronyism when it suits them. but then again, they've always reached for whatever argument suits them, no matter how ironic or hypocritical.

(1) Yes. (2) Bush didn't declassify Plame's identity, and that makes questions 3 & 4 irrelevant in terms of Bush. (5) No.
