PERFECT weekend wrap up-the cop and escapee footage on CNN
The were running this in the loop on headline news. I've seen two newsreaders do the same (my gosh!) "they came THIS close" read and acted right from the script.

SEE "Cop chats with escaped killer, let's him go" with the camera beside it.
http://www.cnn.com/

So McKinney dared mention racial profiling. Well if you have never seen good old boy (even boys you've never met) benefit of the doubt backslapping whiteman's burden of brotherhood this is it.

The cop sees a guy "loitering" (his word) on train tracks in an area where they know an escaped murderer is on the loose, the guy has no ID (indigence), no cell phone (okay that is passable), claims to be staying in a motel (just claims it), and is "doing some work on some apartments" (is he legal???? taking the money under the table tax-free???) and he lets him GO?

He was wearing glasses and his eyes were "turquoise blue" instead of blue and he let's him GO?

The video shows the cop clearly giving this guy more benefit of the doubt than is close to normal. It isn't the cops job to worry about his tax status but it fits in for this week perfectly.
