bush & Co. must have something to gain from going nuclear on Iran. |
|
Because they're obviously not concerned about inevitably inviting many more 9/11s.
Taken at face value, nuking Iran is completely idiotic. So this can't be taken at face value. There's obviously a method to this utter madness that makes Kim Jong-Il look mentally balanced by comparison.

Maybe he IS trying to launch his fucked-up version of biblical prophecy fulfillment, after all.

15. He doesn't believe all that hooey. He just throws out bones to appease his |
|
base. Nuking Iran might solve some of his resource problems. Nuclear weapons (as well as the DU contamination that is already in the area) will wipe out a lot of people who might compete for resources and obliterate the Iranians so the Bush Crime Family could take over.

totally ego-centric like a 9 year-old kid, but worse--he lacks empathy. I honestly don't think he can comprehend the effects of a nuclear weapon.

13. Apparently they're not concerned about radiation. |
|
If they did they wouldn't be nuking the place with depleted uranium and who knows what for the last sixteen years.
Call it the Pianka method of conservation.

8. Yes, and it has a name, too. |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-08-06 02:23 PM by longship
It's called:
WW III
To the Neocons, it also has another name:
Armageddon
You know, that deal where Jeebus gets to come back and rule the world, but before that happens all the lunatics think that they're going to be grabbed up in some kind of weird updraft of some kind.
Scary shit, this Chimp crowd.

These people are desperate. Everything they've tried has failed, so they just have to keep escalating.
I am so pissed that they never give diplomacy a chance. Their first move is always to threaten.
Fucking Bullies.

11. It will assure decades of huge wars |

which translates to big bucks for a lot of arms manufacturers.
Only chance of restraining a new war might be the corporations that do a lot of business with China. They might try to talk some sense into the junta to protect their investments.
The next wars will actually between the various types of corporations. Nations are just the pawns they will use to fight them.

16. I guess they are tired waiting for Jesus... |
|
so they want to push the timetable to force the issue. Son of God's timetable is not good enough for these people. Also they want to go down throughout eternity, as being the earthy vessel God worked his plan through? The messianic visions of * has me a bit skiddish.
I want to scream "HE IS CERTIFIABLY CRAZY!"
I can not see any sane gain other than trying to own as much of the oil reserves as possible, even if that crude glows in the dark...or it is the scorched earth policy (no pun intended)...If they can't have it, no one else can.
