National Call-in Day to support Censure update...

Last year at this time, the leadership of PDA decided to purchase a software tool that we couldn't afford, so that PDA activist had the power in their hands to actively engage Congress on our issues. The system was our Capwiz tool. This tool proved effective after we sent over 100,000 messages to Congress on our first action alert alone. The first action alert was on the Ohio Vote.

Since that first action, this tool has proven effective at empowering our grassroots. The success of this tool was dependent on your activity. It has successfully been accredited to bringing attention to legislation that otherwise would have been marganalized. Bills like the Debt Slavery bill, the Downing Street Minutes inquiry, and today with the calls for Censure.

This morning, over 6903 people have made calls already. However 52,012 took action writing to Congress in support of the bills, the day it was introduced. So we still need folks to step up and make those calls. We know clicking the button to send a letter is a bit easier then the calling, but there is 45,109 folks who took action on the first letter campaign who have not made their calls today.

Congratulations folks. You ARE making a difference! Lets keep the momentum up!
