Nothing will be done until we are ready to sacrifice.
I once suggested we all stop our insurance payments as a form of protest.

There's a thread suggesting dumping ATT for its complicity with the NSA's wire tapping.

Our pocketbooks have more power than guns.

Give up the $10.00 we save by shopping Walmart.

Buy Venezuelan oil.

Drop your phone company for VOIP if you can.

CONSERVE!!!!

QUit feeding the corporate beasts!

It's time to get serious, folks.

9. VOIP= Voice Over Internet Protocol.
If you have a cable modem, you can help upset the communications industry.

However, that just means we're transferring power.

Kind of a two-edged sword if there ever was one.

10. Some VOIP companies and rates

Vongage is probably the best known and for $24.99 you get Included Features you get
911 Dialing
Voicemail Plus
Caller ID with Name
Call Waiting
Call Forwarding
3-Way Calling
In-Network Calls
Take Vonage With You
Area Code Selection

Call Transfer
Click-2-Call
Call Return
Caller ID Block
Repeat Dialing
International Call Block
Ring Lists
Call Hunt

Vonage: http://www.vonage.com/?type=PaidSearch_Google_Search_2958

Packet8 is one that I'm considering because I can have a local number in my area. I'm in north Ala. and the pickings are slim. Packet* gets great reviews, though, and here is what is offered for $19.99 a month.

All Packet8 plans include unlimited in-network calling, voicemail
caller ID
call waiting
three-way calling
call forwarding
caller ID blocking
online account management.
In addition to unlimited local and long distance calling in the U.S. and Canada, Packet8 subscribers benefit from some of the most competitive international rates available.

SunRocket also gets great reviews. Their website says $199/yr. and 3 free months, but you can call and get $8.25 a month though today. Here's what you get:

3-Way Calling
7 Digit Dialing
Call Forwarding
Caller ID with Name
Call Logs
Call Return
Call Waiting
Call Waiting ID
Click to Call
Contacts
Distinctive Rings
Do Not Disturb
Find Me
Speed Dial

16. I have Packet8. No complaints so far.
Some guy was soliciting for a phone company and asked what I had. I told him, and he had never heard of it!

When he asked what I paid for my service, I told him, and he said, "Well then you don't want what I'm selling, do you?"

 It was priceless!

18. I shop blue first.....
I have been a Costco gal for some time now. Also hang out at Academy too. I love Whole Foods and the local farmer's market. In May, Hubby and I will be moving into an apartment that is 3 minutes from his work and 5-10 minutes from my job and I plan to start bicycling to work. It is smaller than I would like but it is in the budget. We cut up all the cards and live on cash and are paying off our debts as fast as we can.

Anyone know if Ikea is blue?

25. I'm trying to do these things
I won't give up my insurance because I have a child and her physical well-being isn't negotiable.

We don't have a Citgo station around here but I'll do some research. We've been trying to simply drive as little as possible. On warm days my husband rides his bike to work even. My daughter and I walk to the grocery store if we only need a few things, and there's a park within walking distance too.

We don't shop at Wal-Mart.

We have VOIP.

Anyway, I agree with you. Our dollar is our vote. Who said that? Abby Hoffman?

We have more we could do but we make changes as we can.
