I caught a snippet of Rove speaking to a crowd of rich lawyers
last night, bragging about the tax cuts and how "strong" the economy is.

It is "strong" for people of that ilk.

But what about the rest of us?

Bush is president only to the elite.

The rest of us can go to hell.

2. I saw about ten seconds of that, muted, fortunately. I was going to
ask here about it, hoping he was doing a press conference regarding his indictment/resignation

4. Reminds me of that BS news story a month ago
About how America has a record number of billionaires. Apparently, that's supposed to mean the economy is terrific.

It could have something to do with the fact that income disparity is at levels not seen since the 1890s, but I'm sure I'm just reading the numbers "liberally." :eyes:

6. So here's what you do about it...
Stop paying your taxes, stop using your credit cards and stop using any petroleum product that are not absolutely necessary.

The game is for them to turn oil into profit. The game only works if we, the consumers, play along. Stop playing along, and we can bring their house of cards down.

Sorry, but that's how it's gotta be. Unless YOU do what is needed, they'll just keeping stealing oil and turning it into money. Money that ends up at the top.

I'll go first...

9. I think all of their boasting about the economy
just pisses most of us off. The more they babble on about the economy, and how great it is, the more the rest of us compare our economic situations to how well the haves and have mores are doing. They are doing well at our expense. It's human nature, like bragging about winning the lottery every week, while others get nothing. The rest of us, when we hear about how great things are, only know that things aren't great for us.
