John Dean thinks Bush may have settled w/ Joe & Valerie? huh?
From an article in Truthout(http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/040806C.shtml)

The Truth About Lewis "Scooter" Libby's Statements to the Grand Jury
Claiming the President Authorized a Leak of Classified Information:
The President and Vice President Are Not in the Clear Yet
By John W. Dean

"Beyond the hypocrisy, however, is what the President, Vice President, Libby and no doubt others did to destroy the career of Valerie Plame. Maybe the administration has quietly settled with the Wilsons, who seem to have dropped out of the public eye. This would have been wise, because as the facts unravel, it increasingly appears that administration officials did indeed attack Mr. Wilson for his speaking out; the leak of his wife's identity does indeed seem to have been done in harsh retribution. Such a violation of civil rights is a crime."

It appears Joe Wilson will be on This Week w/ George Stephanopoulos this a.m.
Would like to hear him ask the question," Did the Administration settle or try to settle w/ you"?

1. That's it. I'm convinced he's the devil.
everybody with any kind of clout to go up against him ends up backing down.

what does he & his goons have on everyone? how do they do it?

2. I don't think they settled
or he wouldn't be on George's show. However the question would be great just to hear Joe's reply.

3. Wilson's still speaking out
There was just a post here a few days ago about him blasting Bush in a speech in Florida I think. Said we need to drive a stake through the heart of the neocons. Doesn't sound like anything's been settled to me. Maybe Dean missed that.

4. they have 2 small kids, and since his wife's career was ruined

I'd say whe's trying to keep a low profile and protect her family. Wilson wrote a book, and has been out there... with this story back "in the news" he is getting more invititions to talk about it on tv.

5. If anything they would have threatened them
I don't think they would have payed them off or anything like that, but rather I think they would use strong arm tactics or some form of blackmail to hush them. I can not speculate what they would use. It just seems that threats would be the bu$h regime tactic they already think they are above the law.

6. Part of an effort to discredit Wilson? He was in fact on ABC news
Thursday I believe. Don't know if the clip was fresh.
Frankly it wouldn't bother me at all if they got 50 million from BFEE as part of their Civil Suite. Reminder to all - Wilson filed a Civil Suite - in my opinion just to make sure Fitz wouldn't be the victim of a Saturday Night Massacre.
